With every release, we focus on a theme – and for this one we’ve centred around the posting experience and enhancing user profile. We’ve introduced a new and unique way to post your photos through Instagram and curate them effortlessly into your Burpple food journal. Say hello to beautiful food photos from your favorite photo app. We’ve also introduced the all new Burpple Flash Card to showcase informative user profiles and find out more about one another’s culinary backgrounds. To couple that up, we’ve also implemented a new user settings screen for you to edit your own profile, rate the app and invite your friends. Also, we’ve enhanced the location feature - with that you can now choose and edit places from anywhere in the world, making sure your food moments are showcased accurately on a map. You’ll also notice a new way of displaying Likes, showing the first names of people, making it more personal and easy to connect with one another. And finally, Burpple localizes for Japan with such beautiful language. Instagram Connect
Introducing Instagram Connect, a new way to post photos on Burpple. You can now take pictures of food on Instagram, apply beautiful filters and hashtag #burpple (or food related hashtags). These beautiful food photos will automatically sync to your Burpple food journal complete with location and meal type information. They will appear in a “Instagram” Box on your Burpple account, which you can then edit and curate them. For all foodie Instagrammers, all your photos with food related #hashtags will also be synced retrospectively - making them searchable and useful. It’s simple, beautiful and effortless.

New Burpple Flash Card & edit your profile
Introducing the all new Burpple Flash Card, a sleek and informative display of your profile. Express more about yourself on Burpple by telling the world where you’re from, share your blog or personal website and write a short bio on your culinary background and adventures. You can edit them directly from the Burpple Flash Card or from the brand new user settings screen. PS: Don’t forget to give us 5 stars!
Instagram Connect Choose and edit places from anywhere around the world
People love Burpple for the ability to auto-magically suggest where you have eaten. We’ve worked hard on enhancing this feature and now you can even search and choose a specific place from anywhere around the world. People can then view the directions of the place on the Location Map view.
New way of showing Likes
Also, we now display the first names of people who liked your food moments to make it easier to see and connect with them. Remember to tap on their names to ‘mention’ a shout out and they’ll be instantly notified.
